WASHINGTON, October BL Senator Philander Knox, Pennsylvania, died from a paralytic stroke while on his way to the dining room in his homo hero tlu.s evening. Ho returned from England yesterday after a three weeks’ health trip, feeling well. Ho was Secretary of State in President Taft’s Cabinet, and Attorney-General in the MTCinley and Roosevelt Cabinets. Ho was the author of tho peace resolutions in the Senate. —A. and N.Z. Cable.
