AMERICAN NATIONAL SINGLES. NEW YORK, September 13. Anderson (Australia) clefcatod Hawkea (Australia) in tho third round of the Rational Lawn Tennis, Singles at Philadelphia, 10-6, 6-0, 6-3. The matches on Monday were postponed on account of rain. September 14. (Received September 15, at 10.10 0.m.) Lowe and Anderson are tho only foreigners remaining for the fourth round of tho National Tennis Championship. Tilden put Shimidzu (Japan) out in the third round, 6-4, 6-4, 6-1. WAIMANA CLUB’S ANNUAL. The annual general meeting of the Waimana Tennis Club was held in the club rooms, Albany Street School, last evening, a large number of members being present. Tho _ report and balance-sheet (which showed that tho club was in a good position financially) _ were read and adopted. The following office-bearers were elected President, Mr W. It. Sinclair; vice-presidents—Miss D. Boyle, Messrs W. Tyrie, W. Sinton, W, Burk, George Nelson, r. B. Scoble; hon. secretary, Mr M. A. Cameron; _treasurer, Mr G. Burk; General Committee—Misses E. Muirhead, M. Frame, H. B. Pattison. Messrs W. Jacobson, L. Mitchell, and E. M'Nnlty. The opening day was fixed for Saturday, October 1. {formerly the club was known ns the Hanover, and tho • alteration to Wniinana was unanimously agreed to on the motion of Mr W. R. Sinclair. ■'
