WAR BETWEEN COSTA RICA AND PANAMA. Prsiii Association —By Telegraph— Copyright, WASHINGTON, February 27. It is reported that a state of war exists between Costa Rica and Panama over the boundary dispute. The situation is further aggravated by Costa Rica’s action in cancelling the British oil concession. Great Britain has sent a Note, and a cruiser to back up her demands. It is not expected that Britain will take forcible action without notifying the United States, but such notification has not yet been given. It is understood that tho United Slates sides with Costa Rico, claiming that the concession was granted by tho discredited Tinoco Government.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
