WASHINGTON, October M. (Received October 15, at 9.20 a.m.) Sensational charges are being investigated at Chicago, on which it is declared that a large number of prominent men. including Prohibition officers, are involved in illicit liquor deals throughout the country, totalling 3,000,000 dollars. Their activities are said to extend to New York, Cleveland, and other largo cities.—A and N.Z. Cable.
