CONCERT AT WAKARI
A most enjoyable evening -wo.p spent at the .Soldiers' Hospital, Waken, on Tuesday night,-when the patients were entertained by members of the Grand Concert P-wtv The programme, which bad Teen arranM-d by Mr G. Lennet, proved verv enjovablc bongs were rendered by the following-A Miss Anna Hope, Messrs H. Newalf G Bennet, A. J. Parker, Alfred Hudson.’md AThea; recitations bv Mr Andrews: pianororte selections by .Misses B. Mathewson. A. Hope, Stevens, and Air ALFca ; violin solos by Alessrs H. Stevens and Cockbnrn; concert flute solo, Air Alorrison. “Pam Reno,” the talking comedy juggler, entertained in his usual pood stvle. Air R. Hemingway acted as chairman. The pianoforte accompaniments were canablv played by Alisses D. Alathewson, A. Hope,
Stevens, and Mr M'Fea. Mr Holt, on behalf of the patients, thanked the party for an enjoyable evening. The matron and staff provided supper at the close of the concert.
