PARIS, October 12. The Polish Government have informed the League of Nations that they disavow General Zeligowski, and intend to take the necesary measures to terminate his occupation of Vilna. —‘Times.’

The Kovno correspondent of ‘ The Times ’ reports that the latest developments indicate that there is a widespread Polish intrigue for the overthrow of the Kovno Government and their subsequent union with Poland. The military position is disquieting. The Poles hold Orany, cutting off the main body of the Lithuanian army from the Vilna sector, while the possibility of their advance upon Kovno cannot be disregarded. A wholesale levy of the citizens of Kovno capable of bearing arms is proceeding. The Lithuanians are preparing a counter-offensive with the object of recapturing Vilna.—‘Times.’ UKRAINIAN INSURGENTS. LONDON, October 12. A niessage from Warsaw states that Ukrainian insurgents have occupied Kieff, which the Bolsheviks abandoned. CONSPIRACY IN SIBERIA, COPENHAGEN, October 13. (Received October 14, at 9 a.m.) According to a report from Riga,- a conspiracy has been discovered in Siberia. A big organisation of White Guards, headed by officers of Kolchak’s and Semenoff’s armies, intended to blow up ammunition depots, factories, bridges, and railways, and to kill the Communist leaders. A thousand members of the organisation have been arrested. ANTI-SOVIET PEELING. LONDON, October 13. (Received October 14, at 9.10 a.m.) Reports from Helsingfors via Copenhagen state that a strong anti-Bolshevik feeling is developing in Riga, where several disturbances have followed the Reds’ defeat. Several anti-Soviet meetings have been held at factories. The Government are strengthening the military in Moscow, where street figuring has been reported! the military having to storm barricades!
