KING’S. ‘The Whirl of Life,’ a lively story of the big dancing craze which recently swept over America and Europe, is now showing' at the King’s. The picture introduces' Irene Castle, tho greatest society dancer in the world to-day. There is a good supporting programme. GRAND. ‘Help! Help! Police!’ is the chief item on a three-hour programme at present showing at the Grand. George Walsh is seen in the stellar role, and his stunts aro very amusing. A good drama, ‘The Love that Dares, ’ featuring Madlamc Traverse, is also on the bill. PLAZA. ‘The Lady of Red Butte,’ a story of the great North-west, featuring Dorothy Dalton, is the headliner at the Plaza. The picture is a very good one, and the acting of the star is of a very high standard'. Other good pictures will -bo shown in support. O’BRIEN’S EMPIRE. . L* Dkl Kentucky,’ an impressive sporting story, is now showing at the Empire. The chief role is entrusted'to Anita Stewart who gives a very interesting interpretation ot her part. A good comedv. a' Topical ■Gazette, and other pictures will bo shown m support. QUEEN’S. , Slaves of Pride is the chief attraction t.ie Queen’s. Alice Joyce has a rolo which is well suited to her style of act-in?, and she makes tho most of her opportunities. There is a well varied and pleasant supporting list. EVERYBODY’S AND KING EDWARD. An entertaining and very enjoyable programme is offered at the above houses. It is hoaoed by ’ Poor Relations,’ a picture of rare merit and Interest, starring Plorencc Vidor and Zasu Pitts. Among the sup--3 if. a Charlie Chaplin comedy entitled The Fireman.’
