Colonel Amery, representing tho Colonial Office, emphasised tho Imperial aspect of the conference, and stud he hoped that the outcome would bo a widening of the existing trade Preference between tho Dominion- and tho west Indies. The Hon. E. St. John Branch, K.C., Attorney-General for Jamaica, stated that the colony was "prepared to enter whole-heartedly into any great scheme for the consolidation of the Empire. Representatives from all the West Indies are present.
