(Received June 1. at 8.50 a.m.) The fighting against the tribesmen in Mesopotamia continues, and the indications ttie hot weather will see a recrudence of activity. Things are quiet on the Euphrates, -where the Arabs • -were severely handled by our troops, helped by aeroplanes. There is a general feeling of insecurity. The latest reports from Bagdad state that a train was derailed by the Arabs between Sharza and Baiji, apparently at the instigation of the Sharifiah Government in Syria, and several lives were lost. Attacks, on convoys are occurring in the same district, and hostilities between two opposing tribes are reported. The Shah, of Persia is suffering from a heat stroke,- and has cancelled portion of h:s tour. C Norman, who relieves Admiral Sir Percy Scott at Teheran, has reached Baara. •
