Messrs Bray Bros, (of Dunedin), Ltd., report aa follows for the week ended, today :

Small lines of wheat are now offering on the market, and these are readily taken up by millers at Government prices. The oat market is quiet. Both millers and shippers are offering reduced prices, but growers are not anxious to sell, and only a few small lines are changing hands. Five shillings to 5s Id has been offered for A Gartons, country sidings. Heavier consignments of chaff have come forward, but feeders being short of supply, prices were wall maintained. For choice quality £8 10s is obtainable (sacks extra). The potato market is well supplied, and prices are easier. Potato digging is pretty general, and heavy consignments are coming to hand. Some of the consignments are showing blight, but good lines are selling up to £8 per ton (sacks included). The onion market is firm at quotation*. Some splendid samples of pickling onions haye come forward, and are selling at 2d pel* Jb. The Onion Growers’ Association fixed the price of table onions from £8 lOs to £9, and in the meantime business is restricted to small lines. A meeting of potato-growers in the Canterbury district decided to request payment for sacks above the usual market prices. Swede turnips are now showing freely on the market, and all classes of vegetables are fair supply. The egg market is keep*lng firm, with high prices ruling \ Business in the fruit marts has been fairly brisk during the week. Parcels of pears are reaching the market from Canterbury and Central Otago. All lines are selling at fair prices. Good cooking apples, such as Lord Wolseleys, are bringing up to 7s per case. Dessert apples are more plentiful. Cox’s Orange and Jonathans arc selling at 7s to 9s per case. Very little' stone fruit has come forward during the week. . Fair supplies of tomatoes are still arriving from Canterbury. Eggs, butter, honey, and beeswax are wanted. The following prices were realised dur■Vu the week *■—
