Mr H. L. Tapley. chairman of the Otago Harbor Board,, left for Wellington to-day. ° Several changes are being made in the personnel of Milton Pest Office staff. Miss iH. K. Applegate has been transferred to the Telegraph Office at Christchurch, and Miss A. Paterson to the Telephone Office in the same city. Mr J. J. V. Gordon has ieft for the telegraph learners’ gallery at Ponsonhy. Mr A.„M‘Kay (Lawrence) lias been appointed as postman at Milton, and Mr Arbuclda (Dunedin) as telephone exchange attendant at the same town. Mr P. White-Parsons, acting manager of the Royal Exchange Assurance Corporation at Dunedin, has been appointed to the position of inspector at the head office, and leaves for Wellington at the end of May to take up his new duties. He will be succeeded in Dunedin by Mr J. R. Callender, who for the past two years has been acting manager at Auckland. ,
