CAVERSHAM BAPTIST CHURCH

On .Sunday evening- a special Easter service was held in the Caversham Bapdst Church. Ihe choir, under the leadership ot .Mr C. Clark, rendered the following anthems to a large and appreciative conis Risen from (he Dead (Roberta), ‘Lift Up Your Heads’ lolendge-layior), ‘Christ the Lord 16 Risen To-day’ (Jones), and ‘Christ is ±usen (Hogg). Mrs F. Clark sank 'He wa s (Handel), while .Mr C. Uark sang ‘The Light of the World’ (fetephen Adams). The pastor, the Rev. K ’ C. Stewart, m an interesting address on _ The _ Rehgio i of Song’ showed how Christianity gave an important place to si.iging, and pointed out the prominence the Yew Testament gave to the service of song.
