DUNEDIN v. OWAKA. A very enjoyable game was played at Owaka at Raster. 'lhe president of the association took a team down, and found a most enthusiastic lot of cricketers, who aid Stele utmost to make the game and visit as enjoyable ns possible. In fact, all did their utmost to make the stay enjoyable, and are looking forward for the next visit.. The Dunedin team scored 203 in their first innings (C Chadwick 55. J. Haig 31, A. Ringer 31 Cantrell 25, L. Chadwick 23. Martin 17b U'. Jeffries (three wickets for 70) and Parker (three for 17) were the most successful of the Owaka bowlers. Owaka were disposed of for 104 (Overton 28 and Minting 13). Bowling : Haig, three for 43: Cantrell, three for 2; T. Hitchcock, two for 24. In their second innings the Dunedin men compiled 220 runs (E Hitchcock 39, Lomas 34, Westbrook sl’ C. Chadwick 30). Bowling : Connell, five lor 30. Owaka’s second innings yielded 1/9 (Jeffries 62, Whiting not" out 30). Bowling : Ringer, five for 10; Martin, two for 12. Dunedin won by 136 runs. INTERSTATE MATCH. SYDNEY, April 5.
