AGRICULTURAL TEACHING

WELLINGTON, June 5
The Education Department wishes, if possible, to improve the teaching of agriculture 'in primary and secondary schools. For that purpose a conference has been called of teachers aud representatives from the Agricultural Department. A large number of papers will be read and committees appointed to digest them. These papers generally agree t'bat teachers at present are not. prepared for giving instruction in agriculture —in fact, that the word was a misnomer, and that some other should bo used.
