HOSPITAL HELPERS' ASSOCIA TION

The above association’s annual collection will bo taken up on Friday nextin ajd of the St. John Ambulance Association, Kari-tane-Harris Baby Hospital, Patients and Prisoners’ Aid Society, and tho Queen Victoria Jubilee Convalescent Fund. All these institutions are carrying on excellent work in our midst, and are worthy of tho support of citizens. Tho lady collectors recognise the need of those Institutions, and have coino forward in large numbers with offers to assist, and the association will have mere stands than they have had for many years past. The following stands have been allotted by the committee; —Manor place corner, St. Kilda ladies; Stafford street. Miss Duff; old Post Office, Queen Victoria Jubilee Convalescent Fund; Jacobs’s, Karitane-Harris Hospital; Grand Hotel, Otago Women’s Patriotic Association; Stock Exchange, St. John Ambulance (mu-sing division) : Government Life, Mrs Jackson; Bank of New Zealand, Mrs R. Marlin; Campbell’s, Y.M.C.A. ; CityHotel, First Church; Hallenatein’s, Mrs H. K. Wilkinson ; Strand Corner, St. John Ambulance Association; Octagon seat, Mias K. Geeriu ; Rprosen’s Corner. Patients and Prisoners’ Aid Society; City Boot Palace and Penrose's Corners, All Saints’ Church; Mollisons’. Knox Church; railway station, Salvation army. It is hoped the citizens will respond generously to this appeal on Friday next. The city bauds arc always willing to assist the association, and havo agreed to give a concert in tho Botanic Gardens on Wednesday evening. An excellent programme will bo provided by the 4th Regimental Band, Kaikorai._ St. Kilda, Maori Hill, and Dunedin Pipe Bands. A collection will bo taken up at tho gates in aid of the funds of the association. Tho Gardens will bo illuminated, and tho public aro assured of bearing a high-class programme of band music.
