Addresses of welcome were delivered bv Air Spain (county chairman) and Mr John Smart., A splendid musical programme was provided, and altogether an enjoyable evening was spent. St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in Central Otago wero cor.ilnod to a picnic in tho Recreation Gro-pids at Alexandra (numbers coming fr-m Cromwell by train) and races at Ran fin Iv. The warn, weather of the last few days has given place to keen winds. Yesterday there were heavy showers and indications of more to-day.
