CANADIANS OR AMERICANS
Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. HALIFAX, March 12. Seventy American-born soldiers belonging to the Canadian army terrorised the immigration authorities at this port by threatening to sink the ship which they were aboard unless allowed to enter the United States. The men were unable to prove that they were oi American citizenship, and were refused entrance. Later, however, the soldiers were allowed to proceed to New York, with a view to the presentation of the case on their behalf to the American Government.
