(deferred stock) at £335 and another at £534, the market closing with buyers at £394, sellers at £397. The dredging and sluicing markets were neglected. Waihi Grand Junctions were inquired for at 12s, sellers asking 12s 6d. In the investment market, National Banks were wanted at 1295, but no sellers came forward. National insurances arc a shade easier, being quoted 75s buyer, 78s 6d seller. Union Steams remain steady at late rates, whilst Huddarts are easier, being wanted at 38s 6d; no seller under 40s. N.Z.
