SAILED.—March 15. Planter, American schooner (2.45 p.m.), 525 tons, Wcweteer, for Timaru. Tho American schooner Planter, which arrived hero on Tuesday afternoon from San Francisco, completed tho discharge of her deck load of timber this morning. The vessel left port this afternoon, bound for Timaru, where she will discharge her cargo 'of case oil. She was towed to an offing by the tug Plucky. COASTAL STEAMER MANAROA. The coastal steamer Manama, which left Dune-din over a fortnight ago on an excursion and salvage trip to Dusky Sound, returned to Bluff on Thursday night. _ According to telegraphic advice received, the vessel loft Bluff at 11 a.m. yesterdvy for Dunedin via Halfmoon Bay. She should arrive here tp-morrow. No announcement has yet been made concerning the Manaroa's future movements. ALERT FROM SAN FRANCISCO. Tho American four-masted schooner Alert, 623 tons, Captain Hansen, arrived at an anohorago in the Lower Harbor at 8 last night. "The vessel came from San Francisco, and occupied 63 days on the passage. She has a full cargo of assorted oils under hatches, and also carries 800,000 feet of lumber on deck. Tho Alert will re-main at anchor until Monday morning, when she will be towed up to Dunedin and berthed at the Victoria wharf to discharge her freight. She is to the agency of Messrs A. S. Paterson and Co., end is making her first visit to this port. The Alert was built in 1902, and her dimensions are : Length 174.5 ft. breadth 37.9 ft, depth 13.9 ft. MATATUA FOR LONDON. A Wellington message states that the Matatua sailed for London via Colombo and Bombay at 11.15 a.m. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. GTSBORNE, March 15.—2 a.m., War Castle, for London via Panama. BLUFF.
