(Received March 14, at ILIO a.m.) The Queensland Labor party, in a long manifesto, vigorously denounce the 1.W.W., stating that their methods are Wholly at variance with Labor principles and that their declared methods are contrary to the methods endorsed by the Labor party. Therefore, the party uuhesitatingly Tepudiates the I.W.W. fuia all similar propaganda which strike at tho fundamental principles of Labor. MINES CLOSING DOWN. SYDNEY, March 14. Twelve hundred men are unemplpyod at Cobar through tho closing of tho copper mines. BRISBANE, March 14. The Mount Elliott mines are closing down at the end of the month as a result of petty strikes and the Bolshevik tendencies of'the employees reducing the output. POPULAR WAR LOAN. MELBOURNE, March 14. Tho Federal Government are launching a new war savings certificates campaign. The currency of tho loans will be raised to five years, and the rate of interest to 5 per cent. PEACE CELEBRATIONS. SYDNEY, < March 13. A meeting of prominent citizens outlined a programme for the peace celebrations, including thanksgiving services, naval and military parade and peace pageant, city illuminations, warships’ searchlights display, and a Venetian carnival regatta. SUMMARY ACTION, ADELAIDE. March 14. The military authorities have closed nine hotels for supplying liquor to invalid soldiers. NEW SOUTH WALES POLITICS. SYDNEY, March 14. Mr Carmichael has announced that he will form a new party, with the_ object of scrapping the old political machinery and restoring tho true spirit of democracy'.
