AN “OVERSIGHT.” Onr Cliri-stehui’ch correspondent wires : —At the meeting of the New Zealand Trotting Association yesterday* the Forburv Park Trotting Club wrote concerning the Tloymetta-Royal Hope case, and notified tho association that J. M’Lennan had subsequently been fined £lO for interference. It was an oversight on the part of the stewards that this bad not been done previously. Mr J. H. Williams, a member of tlie board who was unable to be present, drew attention to the light treatment meted out to M’Lennan. It was decided to endorse the club’s action. Tfie hurdle racer Gluterino, by Gluten— Carreno, died while on a train* yesterday in the course of a journey from To Aroha to Ellerslio. Gluterino sustained injuries at To Aroha on Saturday by falling when in front at the last fence in the Hurdle Race.
