SOLDIERS AND THE BALLOT

AUCKLAND, March 13.
After hearing a deputation of returned soldiers, the Auckland branch of the Efficiency League wired to Sir James Allen stating that the soldiers have a real grievance, and that some of them will be disfranchised if steps are not taken to enable every returned man to vot«. The meeting suggested that those not enrolled should be enabled to do so on affidavit.
