The Medical Committee are considering the re-enforcing of the mask regulations, owing to a recrudescence of the epidemic. MELBOURNE, March 13. Three more deaths from influenza have been reported to tho health authority, VETO OF MAORI GATHERING ASKED. [Per United Press Association.] HAMILTON, March 13. At a meeting of the Raglan County Council it was unanimously resolved to request the Minister of Public Health -to veto the big Maori meeting at Ngaruawahia next week, in view of the possibility of a recrudescence of the influenza epidemic. NEW ZEALAND’S BILL [Per United Press Association.] ■WELLINGTON, March 13. The Hon. G. W. Russell mentioned at tho presentation of epidemic certificates that in Africa the disease had attacked even baboons, and had destroyed numbers. £IOO,OOO had been already expended by the New Zealand Government, and a further £95,000 may be asked for. The total cost will reach £250,000. The Minister considered that tho experience gained would enable the department to cope with’ further outbreaks for less expense.
