LABOR'S VIEW

ON THE PEACE OF THE WORLD.

Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. Australian and N.Z. Oable Association.

■•■*ms?*~ LONDON, March 5. (Received March 8, at 9.55 a.m.) Tb§ Executive of the Labor party have passed a resolution that they viewed with disquietude the Government's policy as outlined in Mr Churchill's Army Estimates. These assume a European policy of prolonged interference and military responsibility which are a menace to the peace and settlement of Europe. An essential feature of a Democratic League of Nations was the prohibition of Conscription in every shape and form in every nation joining the League. It was also essential to establish a deliberative Democratic assembly within the League which would represent- the peoples instead of the Governments, and that shall be elected directly by Parliament. The principle of the open door must be applied to all colonial possessions and protectorates.
