■■ ■ * QUEEN'S AND KING EDWARD. A Pathe Crook-drama entitled " Kick In," featuring Mollis King, was shown for the first time at the Queen's and King Edward Picture Theatres this aften-noon. This picture is of the real drama type, being the screen version of the famous play of the same name, and reveals tho methods a,nd life of New York's und-pr-world. The story is very exciting, and events follow raipidly until a satisfactory climax is reached. The 11th episode o'f the serial ' Double Groin' is an added attraction to the programme. KING'S THEATRE. The excellent programme now showing at the King's Theatre is proving attractive a-s well as popular, record houses viewing each session. 'Tho Darling of Paris," adapted firom Victor Hugo's ' The Hunchback of Notre Dame,' is the headline a.t--traction of this bill, and iz supported bv 'Ring Bang' (comedy), 'Little Miss Happiness,' ann! 'Scenes in the Alps' (scenic). EMPIRE THEATRE. Bab's parents wouldn't let her come out until her elder siter was off the shelf, so Bab thought she'd get even somehow. Other pictures are a comedy, ' Gazette,' and a travelogue. OCTAGON THEATRE. A fivo-pa-rt drama entitled ' Shirley ! Kayo,' starring Clara Kimball Young, and j having as its chief merit fastaction, will ho released for the first time- fit the Octagon Theatre to-night. They story is of tJho daughter of the Kayo family, Shirley, whose family occupies a high social po.i- I tion, and whose father is president of the Uniinn Central Railroad. Shirley is an immensely clever girl who, when she learns that h«r father is about to be ousted from the presidency of the railroad by a Western millionaire and neighbor, incidentally undertakes to adjust matters herself by appealing to tho social aspirations of the inillionaLne'B daughter. This she does by inviting the 3£agen family to a musicale in the Kays house. But old Magen sees through her game, and henceforth it becomes a battle of wits betwean tho beautiful girl and the rough old millionaire. The ousting of Shirley's father is to be accomplished by obtaining a majority of the proxies of the Union Central stockholders, and Shirley learns from John. Rowson, Magen's friend and the proposed new president, that thair end can only be defeated by tha Kaye interests procuring subsequent proxies. Shirley, through social manoeuvring, obtains these proxies and defeats the rough and bluff old Westerner. But, meanwhile, she has come to love Rowson, ivho is angry with her owing to the deception, she practised on hjim. She follows him West, and at length brings him back her lover.
