SATURDAY'S HARRIERS

The St. Kilda Harriers held their fourmile championship on Saturday, a large field facing the starter. - The course led from Wesley Hall, Musselburgh, down Queen's drive, along Victoria road to St. Clair car terminus', round the Esplanade, through the track in the lupines, and past the battery to St. Kilda.. It then continued over a sandhill near Tahuna Park, round Tainui. finishing up along Bowen street. The pack kept well together for about half a mile, and then M'Crone, Heatley, and W. Leoffier went to the front and established a big lead, which they m-intain-ed urtil Tahuna Park was reached. whet, Morice, running strongly, gradual}closed up on them, and eventually won by about 303-ds from M'Crone, with Heatley the samo distance behind in third place.
