WKAKATANB, August 28. The Hon. W. H. tHerries, Native Minister, unveiled a monument 'at Ruatoki yesterday in memory of Naraia. Kereru, late chief of the Tuhoe tribe. Representative. Natives and Buroweans were present, the leathering numbering over 1,000, including Kua (with 62 Native recruits he had enlisted), Sir James Carroll, the Hon. A. T. Ngata, and the Hon. Dr Pomare.
