Mr W. Waiters, who won honm-n at (he Duiie'din Competition years ago, cajne from Oamaru to sing at this concert, and his performances were very keenly enjoyed. His big baritone voice has an enormous reserve, of power rijjlit through an extensive range; he Kings with marked intelligence; his words are as clear -v----from any singer we ever beard. Tic audience, were delighted with Mr Watte's, and recalled him twice i>n each decision. He eang the aria "And Would'iit Them' from ' Un Ballo in Mascherp..' 'Blue Honnets,' ' Tnvictii?,' 'Sacrament' (Macdermid), HomerV 'Requiem,' and 'For the Green' (Herman Lohri. and gave a thoroughly eultivnted study of each. Mi=3 Vera Moore played hi? aecornpanfments very satisfactorily.
