The market was very active again this morning, and a considerable amount of business was transacted in both mining and investment stocks at the first call on 'Change. Huddart-Parker shipping shares again attracted most attention, but prices were a- shade easier. A number of sales were effected at £1 16s 6d. the market closing with further buyers at £1 15s 5d and sellers at £1 16s 6xl. New Zealand' Refrigerating Company's stock was on offer nn £2 -° S - 6d -' !md 011e Sale took l' !nce at £i. National Insurances are inclined to firm, the morning quotations being £5 and £0 0s 3d, buyer and teller respectively. Standard Insurances had buyers at £2 0s 9d, with sellers asking Is more. Westnort Coals were to be had at £1 10s 6d/the best buyer being- at £1 10s. Dominion Kubbers .were on the market at £1 13s, without amy buying quotations, whilst- New Zealand-Malay Rubbers and Dnnlop Rubbers had buyers at £1 12s and £1 5s respectively, but the market was bare of sellers. In the minint: market Mount Lvells had business at £1 9 S 6d. and the market closed firm with further buyers at £1 9s sd, and sellers at £1 9= 7d. * Waihi Grand Junctions, which Live weakened, had reported sales at 14s and 14s 3d. The closing quotations for these shares were 14s and 14s 9d, buyer and seller. Wailns remain firm, with buyers at £1 18s 3d and sellers at £1 19s.
