ELOCUTIONARY RECITAL. On Saturday next Mr S. H. Osborn7"t!Te well-known elocutionist, will give his first public recital. The entertainment will be held under the patronage of the Orphans' Club and the Commercial Travellers 1 " Association, and the proceeds will assist tho Returned Soldiers' Memorial Club. Mr Osborn will be supported by leading artists, and altogether a recital o'f unusual merit may be anticipated. Patrons are advised to book early, as tickets are selling freely. Box plan at Bristol. LYRIO PICTURES, PORT CHALMERS. The management of the Lyric Pictures, Port Chalmers, oan always be depended on to place first-class faro before their patrons'. Bright, up-to-date, and interesting programmes are chosen, and some feature of outstanding merit included. The headline attraction in tho budget of noyelties to be screened to-night is a stirring drama entitled ' A Woman with a Past. The pupils of Miss Violet Barth will give a recital in the Burns ■ ijall this evening. A fine programme /has been prepared. Half of tho proceeds will go to the Women's Patriotic Association.
