DUNEDIN FIRE BOARD
The monthly meeting of the Dunedin Fire Board was held this afternoon, Mr T. Chalmer presiding. A letter was received from the Minister of Internal Affairs notifying the election of Mr John Stuart Hislop as a member of the board, in place of Mr James Buchan (resigned). The Minister of Internal Affairs forwarded an extract from the ' New Zealand Gazette' fixing May 31, 1918/ as the date by which the return of premiums of firo insurance companies for the year ended December 31, 1917, are to be furnished to the board. The committee reported that requisition No. 643 for one set of solid tyres for No. 1 motor had been approved. Accounts amounting to £1,224 14s 2d were passed for payment. The financial position at February 12 showed a credit balance of £2,559 6s 3d, after the payment of accounts.
