DAMMING THE KAWARAU

TO BE SHOWN ON PICTURE SCREEN. The public of Dunedin will read with great satisfaction that they will have an opportunity next Monday evening (at the King's Theatre) of witnessing the falling of the two great pillars which caused so much interest right throughout New Zea-, laud some few weeks ago. The great irrigation scheme which was commenced some two years ago has been much discussed, and now the public will be able to pay a visit to this great work, and see every inch of it. Mr Hector Barry is to give a, descriptive lecture with each picture as it appears on the screen. Mr Barry is described as one of England's greatest lecturers, and the entertainment should prove interesting. Popular prices are, to be charged, and the box plan will open at The Bristol on Friday evening next. Full particulars of this event will appear in to-morrow's issue of this paper.
