FLY EXTERMINATION

RESULT OF DEMONSTRATION. The demonstration of Wheelband's flv exterminator, carried out yesterday under the supervision of the municipal 'officers, proved to be very successful. This demonstration was given for the purpose of showing the authorities Wheel-band's method of exterminating flies, and it certainly appears to be an easy and effective method, as a light sprinkling of the surface only is all that is required. This morning the heap of manure treated was littered with dead fly lame as the result of the spraying yesterday afternoon. In addition, numbers of dead flies wore lying about the yard, having met their death by feeding on the heap which had been sprayed. Wheolbank's Flv Exterminator Company have been demonstrating the utility of the mixture throughout New Zealand before the various municipal and Government authorities, with universally satisfactory results. They have opened branches in the chief centre's of tho Dominion, the latest one being in Dunedin. lake every other place, Dunedin has its period of fly infestation, which is directly .responsible for the spreading of many diseases, more especially amongst children, and any method which -successfully combats the evil should be welcomed by the public.
