Drunkenness.—Henry James M'Kinlav, an old man, was convicted and discliarged, and a prohibition order was issued against 'him.-—-A first offender was fined 20s, or 48 hours.- Archibald Black was sent to gaol for one month, and'a prohibition order was issued against 'iim. By-law Cases.—John' Drain was fined £3, with costs (£1 3s) for driving a motor truck at a speed dangerous to the public. ——Robert Murcioch,pleaded.not, guilty to driving a motor car not bearing a tail light and guilty to driving an unregistered oar. —Defendant was fined 10s, with costs (7s) on each charge.——John Smale, who did not appear, was'fined £3 arid costs (7s)' for diivdng a motor car at a speed dangerous to_ the public. Alleged Assault.—John Sooles and Mark Thomas M'Keay were charged with assaulting Benjamin Jdhn MArthur.—On the application of Chiof-detoetivo Bishop tho case was adjourned until next Wednesday. __ Two-up. Arthur Dominic Phuket, Francis Alexander Hare, William Joseph Roberts, Arthur M'Dermid Roberts, and Dominic M'Loughlan, ail youths, wore charged with playing .two-up on the' Town Belt, Mornington, on Sunday last.—On the. application of Mr Irwin, who appeared for the defendants, tho charges were adjourned until to-morrow morning.
