BOLSHEVIK RULE.
PETROGRAD, January 6. (Received January 7, at-8.40 a.m.) The Bolsheviks claim that they defeated the near Kharkoff, and have ; captured the -whole Kharkoff district, -where / /20,000 Red Guards are now concentrated. The Bolsheviks have commenced the inspection of safes in private banks, which are eacpected to yield the State two or three million roubles. (Received January 7, at 10.40 a.m.) The Soviets' Executive resolved to call a third All-Russian Congress. M. Sinovieff . openly declared that the Soviet opposed a constituent Assembly, and would brush it I ;■ away if the- Assembly''hindered revolutionary action. . i Ensign Krylenko has ordered the removal of his headquarters to Smolensk, and has organised a special field staff to direct operations against the Ukraine and Kaledin's forces.
