WILL GERMANY PERSEVERE?
AMSTERDAM, January 6. (Received January 7, afc 10.40 a.m.J The C4erman Government have received a telegram from Petrograd announcing the departure of their delegates from Brest'Litovsk. They were accompanied by M. Trotsky, who is convinced that it would not be difficult to arrange the transfer of negotiations to some neutral 'country. Another meeting of the German Crown Council is impending. ' PETROGRAD, {January 5. The chairman of the Russian peace delegation is optimistic regarding future negotiations. He believes that Germany will make further proposals. If the Allies will not participate in the conference, Russia will conduct negotiations on the scale of a general peace.
