Red Ribbon was consistently unlucky at the A.R.C. summer meeting. ' In the Cup, with in the saddle, tho daughter of Elevation ran second to Fiory Cross; in the Summer Cup under 7.11 she was third to King Lupin and Polydamon; and on the concluding daj* carrying 7.12 in the Auckland Racing Club handicap, was only beaten by a head for third honors by Desert Gold.
Principal winners at Ellcrslie: T. H. Lowry, £2,420; W. R. Kemball, £2,000; D. H. Roberts, £1,925; R. Hannoii, £1,150; T. E. Whelch, £950; H. E. Troutbeck, £750; Sir George Clifford, £670.
J. O'Sliea, with five wins and a dead heat, was the most successful rider at the meeting. Hector Gray has now a slight lead over Ashley Reed for the joeicey premiership.
