VERDUN VICTORY.
WHAT VAUX MEANS. * PARIS, November 5. (Received November 6, at 9.5 a.m.) There is great enthusiasm over the capture of Vaux. The victory was due to the splendid French heavy artillery. This is the first time the Germans have evacuated a position without being attacked by infantry. • The ''Parisians bracket the name of General. Mangin with that of Major ll&ynal, who surrendered Vaux Fort in June when not a single Cartridge was left in the fort.
