!N THE NORTH SEA. CAPTURED, RECAPTURED, AND BEACHED. High Commissioner's Cable. "LONDON. November 3. Thi' Admiralty reports : The enemy captured the Dutch steamer Oldanibt on the night of November 1 near the North Hinder light vessel. At dawn our scouting craft overtook the vessel, in charge of a prize crew, who attempted to blow he:up. _ They took to the boats, with the ship's, crow. The prize crew of 10 were overtaken and made prisoners. Five German destroyers were engaged and driven off. We"towed the Oldambt to the Hook of Holland. AMSTERDAM, November 2. German torpedo boats in the North Sea captured the Batavia liner Oldambt. They put- a prize crew on board and sent her to Zeebrngge. Some British de stroyers learned of what had occurred, overtook the Oldambt, and made prisoners of the prize crew. The Germans put bombs in the engine room, and .'t i; unknown whether the Oldambt was sunk. Jteulcr's Telegrams. The Oldambt was beached near the Hook of Holland. .She has capsized, and her cargo is being washed out.
