GAMBLING DENS RAIDED
CHINESE AND EUROPEANS CHARGED. [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, August 19. A police raid last night resulted in the arrest of 15 persons, who were charged in court this morning with breaches of the Gaming Act. Four Chinese were charged with being occupiers of gaming-houses, and three other Chinese with being found in common gaming-houses. They were remanded till the.. 24th inst on bail. Six Europeans pleaded guilty to being found in common gaming-houses, and each were fined 205,. in default three days' imprisonment.
