LODGE MEETING

The Pioneer Lodge, 1.0. G.T., held their weekly meeting on Tuesday evening in the social hall, Octagon. Bro. E. Cameron, j P.C.T., presided in the absence of C.T. ! Bro, E. Poulter, who is at the front. ! There was a good attendance. Two can- | didates were initiated into the Order, i Arrangements were made for the lodge ; not to hold their ■usual meeting on Anzac i Day, and all members were earnestly urged ; to attend and do all in their power to make : the functions on that day a success. Ex- : pressions wore also given "to the hope that the hotels would ba. closed on that day, : and all other places of business. A musi- ; cal programme was then gone through. The lodge have now a fine room to meet in, and are desirous d seeing the meetings well attended, especially by young people. Sisters Gain, Cameron, aaid Robertson were appointed to attend the Hope Lodge and take part in a debate. Sister Burns (a visitor from Auckknd) thanked the members for kindness received. Bro. T. j H.
