RAILWAY SERVANTS
MEETING AT AUCKLAND. At a. meeting at Auckland of 250 members of the Amalgamated Society of Bailway Servants, a resolution was carried affirming the branch's loyalty to the main executive, and pledging the branch to support, any action which the controlling body deem advisable ta counteract the apathy and indifference which .the Government have shown tc the demand for a living wage. It was considered that the demand for an increase of not less than Is per day was a reasonable one. Failing a favorable reply, a special conference of all railwavmen will be called to deal with the question.
