OUR PILOT STAFF.
TO THE EDITOR, Six.—Your local in Saturday's, ' Star' should convince us of the necessity of having these reports furnished monthlv. The rough sketches should aleo ba open for inspection to Press and public, tvlio could then see how the banks are making inside and outside the entrance to Port. Otago. This, together with tortuous alteration of channels (insideand out), is a further proof of the untiring vigilance of the pilot staff in submitting their opinions. We forget, too. that. Admiralty charts and sailing directions describe Port Otago as a bar harbor.—l am. etc.. Frederick- Mallard. February 28.
