Our Christ-church special wires that Mr G. W. C. Moon, tourist agent in Christchurch, is under instructions to take charge of the Duiiedhi office of the Tourist Department. Mr S. J. Collett, tourist agent in Dunedin, is to take, charge of the ChristchuTch office.

The death, is a-eported to-day of Robt. Webster, of Washdyke, an old resident in this neighborhood (wires oitr Timari! special). Deceased was bom in Fife, Scotland, in 1839.. and followed the occupation of gardening. He came out to Xew Zealand in the early sixties, and was ill the employ of Mr Rhodes, of Wellington, later coming to South Canterbury, and was gardener on the Raincliff Estat"e. The late Air Webster was engaged in the grocery business in Tiinaru tor a number of years, and later as a second-hand furniture dealer. He retired from business about 11 years ago, but took over the Washdvke store. He was a member of the Bank Street Methodist Church for nearly 50 years, and held the position of circuit steward 'Hie current issue of the ' Gazette' notifies th.it Messrs R. T.
