,MR M'COMBS'S EFFORTS APPRECIATED. [Pes United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, September 15. in connection with the recent telegram trom Auckland regarding Waterside Union affairs, Mr M'Combs, M.P., has received a N letter from the secretary of the Auckland Labor Representation Committee stating: "I am directed by resolution, to convey to you the heartiest thanks of this body for your' sterling efforts to. remove the injustices that are being meted out to unionists on the waterfronts and other industrial centres m New Zealand, and to express the hope that you and those who are associated with you will be successful in your efforts to amend the Arbitration Act, and thus relegate to the past one of the blackest pages in New Zealand's industrial history." *
