QUEEN CARNIVAL
RAVENSBOURNE BRANCH. A very pleasant evening was spent by the committee of the above branch who accepted the invitation of Miss Ross to her parents residence. Ravensbourne, on Saturday evening. During the evening the Mayor (Mr Blackie) made presentations to the secretary (Mr J. Blackie) and the treasurer (Miss Ross) and said how delighted the Ravensbom-ne people were at the fine response of the people to the wounded soldiers fund, and stated further that the excellent work of the secretaiy and treasurer had aided the result in no small' way. He also expressed the thanks to Mr Hawcridge and his family for the asistance rendered to all the entertainments. Cards and musical items filled in the rest of the evening.
