UNIVERSITY ROWDIES

On Degree Day at Leeds University, the students assembled in the gallery and pelted fashionable ladies’ hats and dangled spring onions in their faces. Distinguished visitors were “held up,” and the chancellor and mace-bearer were enveloped in a blanket, lire professors were rescued amid wild disorder.
