Mr Power, the famous picture restorer and a member of the National Art Fund Committee, says that a Shropshire gentleman, bought a picture at a fair price in Australia in 1884, and was unaware until now, after ifc had been cleaned, that it was a. portrait of Titian painted by himself, and estimated to bo worth" any thing up to £IOO,OOO. Only three <jbher portraits of Titian painted by himself are known to be in existence.
