A MADMAN'S CRIMES

The madman Tomsic, who killed- a fanner and his wife and then took refuge in a church tower, renewed his firing at daybreak, and the police repeatedly volleyed. Tomsic, who was armed with a Browning automatic pistol, had 300 cartridges. After killing three police and wounding 19 others he yielded to the priests' appeal to surrender. The firing destroyed the altar and many pictures- in the church.
