MINING
The Rise and Shine No. 1 dredge worked a cut of 500 ft,' making Bft. ahead, last week- The depth averaged 46ft, with bottom of sandy day and sandstone, and wash of only fair quality. No. 2 dredge worked the nsnal cut, and got poor prospects, The bottom was of day and coal, and carried but little wash.
